Kindergarten | Welcome to Synagogue

Kindergarten students explore the realm of the synagogue as a new(ish) setting for them. They learn as “Jewish Detectives,” exploring different ritual objects and places within the Temple itself. The students focus particularly on the sanctuary, discovering what occurs within, what ritual objects are called, the meaning behind them and most importantly how to use them for themselves. Through art, movement, song and stories, students will discover the synagogue as their second home, the year culminating with the students creating their own synagogue with the ritual objects. Students begin to explore Hebrew with Hebrew Through Movement
