This is a very special program at Temple Israel. Our teens have a yearlong opportunity to study weekly with Rabbi Friedman and Rabbi Moss. Students address world issues, theology, and on-the-ground advocacy through a Jewish lens. Dialogue, questioning and sacred text study are the vehicles through which as students address questions of faith, identity and responsibility.
The centerpiece of the Confirmation experience is the four-day L’Taken Political Action Seminar of the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism in Washington, D.C. The trip will take place on March 15-18.
This year our teens registered for Tuesday Jewsday have the incredible opportunity to join our BBYO programming on the first Tuesday of each month. BBYO is an international Jewish teen youth movement focused on engaging more Jewish teens in a meaningful way. BBYO provides students in grades 8-12 with fun, meaningful and affordable experiences that inspire a lasting connection to the Jewish people. BBYO focuses on the core priorities of inclusivity, Jewish identity, active leadership and tradition. We are so excited to share these experiences with our Temple Israel Teens.
