Annual Dues

Dear Temple Israel Families,
Thank you for your generous support of Temple Israel. With your help we are continuing to create a vibrant Jewish community that is also financially-sustainable for years to come. As we celebrate our 70thanniversary this spring we are also looking forward to the 2019-2020 / 5780 year.
Our Board of Trustees has worked diligently to ensure the organizational, spiritual and fiscal health of our community. You are an essential part of our success. On June 3, you will receive your billing statement for 2019-2020 / 5780. This statement will include both membership commitment and tuition information.
In order to create a more streamlined process and ensure that our staff has the time to respond to your needs, the Board of Trustees has instituted a new policy regarding dues payment. We are requiring members to make their full membership commitment in advance of both high holidays and, in the case of families with school age children, prior to the beginning of the new religious school year.  This commitment may be made in the following ways:
  • Payment may be made in full, either by check, credit card or ACH / EFT (electronic funds transfer).
  • Payment may be made by setting up a payment schedule, registering to make monthly payments via credit card or ACH / EFT.
  • Partial payment, 60% of membership and tuition, can be made before 9/9/19, with a commitment to pay the remaining balance by 12/31/19. Congregants who select this option, will register their credit card (or EFT) in the Temple Israel payment system. If payment is not made by 12/31/19, TI will charge the remaining balance via credit card or through EFT in six equal monthly installments from January 2020 through June 2020.
As has always been our policy, congregants in need of assistance with membership or tuition, are encouraged to reach out to Executive Director, Lisa Goldberg via email at or at (203) 227-1293, or to Treasurer, Gary Schanzer at We are committed to enabling all to participate fully, regardless of financial ability.
Again, many thanks for all you have contributed to Temple Israel. We hope that you have a relaxing, restorative, and restful summer.
