The mission of Temple Israel's Caring Committee is to rejoice, support and mourn life’s milestones.  Knowing that each act of loving kindness is an expression of core Jewish values, we reach out to our fellow members in time of celebration, during illness or hardship, and to comfort our bereaved.

As a multi-generational community that interacts with each other in all aspects of Jewish life, individuals gain a strong sense of support and connection with each other.  We cultivate our connection to each other by highlighting a common thread of traditions and customs. As such, we establish a helping culture, offer opportunities for reflection and sharing, and provide a strong pathway for our younger generation to actively engage with a Jewish community.

Judaism's lasting impact within our lives emerges when a community joins together and participates in each others lives.  In doing so, one's life is enriched knowing that they are part of sacred community in which they arecared for and supported.
